In a world filled with the noise of temporary news—census crowds, Roman taxes, and daily frustrations, the Daughters of Ezra chases the ultimate story. Their search for their next "big scoop" leads them to an unexpected, divine truth: the arrival of the Messiah. The musical follows their journey as they meet a series of characters on a seach of their own: Mary and Joseph; the kings; the shepherd.. each in need and searching. All end up discovering that the "Good News" of a Savior born in a manger is the best and biggest story the World could ever hope for.
