Calvary Church held its 11th Blood Donation Drive at the Calvary Convention Centre (CCC) on 29 September 2024. In response to the increased demand for blood from Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Centre), the Missions Ministry organised the event to meet the ongoing need for blood supplies.

A total of 118 participants registered, with 89 individuals successfully donating blood. The remaining participants were unable to donate due to various reasons, such as taking medications, lack of sleep, low blood sugar levels. Calvarites made up 77% of those who registered, while others learned about the drive through the eye-catching red banner displayed outside CCC or via the church's website.

In preparation for the event, the team, together with students (current and alumni) from the Asian Institute of Ministries (AIM), set up the Multipurpose Banquet Hall the day before.

Soo Hoo Yoon Hun, an AIM alumnus, has donated blood more than 20 times, and his wife, Jessica Teo, was excited to donate for the very first time.  Another donor, Foong, was drawn to the event by the banner he noticed while driving past CCC. He made it a point to donate, believing strongly in helping those in need.

The event, which began at 10am, concluded with the last donor at 2pm. Event coordinator, Ng Koon Poh, expressed gratitude to God for a successful blood donation drive. The church extends heartfelt thanks to every donor who supported this initiative, and we encourage everyone to continue inspiring others to do the same.
