All praise and glory to God for a blessed Father's Day celebration held on Sunday, 16 June 2024, at the Calvary Convention Centre.

The celebration began with a warm welcome from the Royal Rangers and Missionettes, whose signs and smiles uplifted attendees. The worship session, led by Joanna Bux and the 118-member One Voice children's choir, was vibrant, featuring a synchronised dance and a moving performance of "We are Family."

Pastor Raymond Yong brought humour to the gathering with his 'dad jokes' before delivering a powerful sermon titled "Reflecting God's Love." The highlight was a video testimony from Pastor Douglas Seaward, who recounted his journey back to faith through his mother, Pastor Margaret Seaward's unwavering prayers, emphasising the transformative power of persistent prayer.

In his message, Pastor Raymond urged fathers to mirror God's unconditional love, referencing Deuteronomy 10:12. He encouraged the congregation to fear the Lord, walk in obedience and serve Him with all their heart and soul.

As the worship team sang "I Give You My Heart," Interim Senior Pastor Petrina Guneratnam prayed over fathers, recognising them as the pillars of their families and urged them to rely on the heavenly Father for leadership and wisdom. She also prayed for all men, as they are the spiritual fathers to mentor and guide the youths. Pastor Michael Loon led the youths and young adults in praying a blessing of gratitude for their fathers.

Pastor Christopher Lee led the men's choir in a stirring rendition of "Find Us Faithful". Pledging to finish their journey of faith strong as they sang - "may the footprints that we leave lead them to believe and the lives we live inspire them to obey". It resonated deeply with the congregation who responded with enthusiastic applause and cheers after their heartfelt performance.

Following the service, attendees gathered at the plaza for fellowship - enjoying snacks and beverages provided by the Calvarite women. A colourful, stained-glass-inspired display reflected the theme of faithful fatherhood and was a memorable spot to take family photos.
