Compassion You Can Take to the Bank
Blood Donation Drive
On Sunday, 1 March 2026, Calvary Church once again witnessed compassion in action, as members of the congregation and the nearby community came together to donate blood in the spirit of generosity and compassion. The 2026 Blood Donation Drive held at Calvary Convention Centre (CCC) recorded over 118 registrations and 79 successful donors, marking yet another successful drive.

Well-planned, welcoming, and supported by dedicated volunteers, the event provided a warm and comfortable environment for both first-time and regular donors alike. It continued to reflect the church’s commitment to serving the community through compassionate action.
Testimonies from Public Donors
Jane Gwee
First-time donor Jane shared how she had attempted to donate blood multiple times at the national blood bank but was unsuccessful due to various challenges. This time was different, however and she was filled with gratitude at finally being able to donate blood successfully without any complications.
Neoh Zi Cheng
Neoh discovered the blood donation drive through the blood bank website. A regular donor every three months, she is motivated by loved ones; she began donating blood after witnessing the needs of others—especially her friend’s daughter, who requires blood transfusions every three weeks due to major thalassemia.

Goh Kok Aun
Goh, whose daughter attends Tadika Calvary, noticed the event banner while dropping her off at school. Although he had always wanted to donate blood, he had never found the time, so this was indeed a timely opportunity. “Seeing the banner reminded me that I shouldn’t keep postponing this. I’m glad I made it the time.”
Ashok Chelluaraj & Sunita Possusammy
The couple noticed the banner during their morning activities at Bukit Jalil Park. Being avid blood donors in their home country of India, they immediately decided to support the event. They were particularly impressed by how well organised the entire event was. Having attended many blood donation drives before, they shared that this one truly stood out—from the efficient system to the warm hospitality.
Testimonies from Church Members
Huang Min
Huang Min wanted to set an example for his children. He recorded his donation experience and plans to show it to them later as a demonstration of courage and compassion.
Pastor Michael Loon & Victoria Choi
Strong supporters of Calvary’s annual blood donation initiatives, Pastor Michael and Victoria once again led by example and participated in the drive. This marks Pastor Michael’s 11th donation and Victoria’s 4th. Their consistency reflects the church’s heart for community service and outreach.
Lili Koh
Lili, who usually joins Calvary’s services online from Johor, happened to be in Kuala Lumpur that weekend and was thus able to participate in the blood donation drive. She was delighted to experience the change from online church to on-site support. As a regular donor, she was impressed by the excellent setup and especially appreciated the soothing music, which made the experience even more comfortable.

A Community United in Love and Generosity
The annual Blood Donation Drive demonstrates the unity, compassion, and generosity of individuals from all walks of life. Whether donors came from the Calvary family, the surrounding neighbourhood, or even from other states and countries, each contribution reflected compassion in action.
As shown over the years, every act of giving blood helps keep hearts beating and reminds us to be a testament to God’s love flowing through His people—touching lives, bringing hope, and sustaining those in need.
“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14 (ESV)
