On the 13th and 14th of September 2025, the One Voice ministry had the exciting opportunity to present our annual musical production over two consecutive days—a first for One Voice! Though it was far from easy, this feat was made possible through God’s mighty hand.

This year’s production, titled “The Prince and the Pharaoh,” was inspired by the story of Moses and Ramses II. A total of 3,100 people attended, and we thank God that over 300 responded to the altar call for salvation.

The musical opened with the powerful song “Deliver Us,” drawing the audience into the Hebrews’ suffering in ancient Egypt. Jochebed, Moses’s mother, in faith and desperation, floated baby Moses in a basket on the Nile, trusting God to protect him. A river dance showed Moses’ journey until he was found and adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter.

Moses grew up in the palace with Ramses II, but never felt he truly belonged there. This inner struggle was captured in the song “Between Two Worlds,” written by Nicole Ong. When Moses saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew slave, he killed the Egyptian and fled Egypt – a moment humorously portrayed by a team of ninjas.

While in exile, Moses unknowingly met his mother, Jochebed, which deepened his inner conflict. Miriam comforted him with a heartfelt rendition of “Seek God” by Nicole Ong, reminding him to trust the Lord during difficult times.

God then sent Aaron to support Moses. Together, they confronted Ramses II, now Pharaoh, to demand the Hebrews’ release. Pharaoh refused, and this tense conflict was expressed in the dramatic “Your Word” number, featuring martial arts and a graceful fan dance.

The 10 plagues followed, portrayed in the electrifying “The Plague,” with neon frogs on bicycles and balloons falling like hail from above – one of the show’s most memorable highlights! After the death of Pharaoh’s firstborn, he finally allowed Moses and the Hebrews to leave. The cast moved through the auditorium, creating an immersive experience for the audience.

At the Red Sea, God parted the waters so the Hebrews could escape, then closed them over the Egyptian army. This breathtaking scene, performed by the Human Theatre team, left the audience in awe. After Part 1, Pastor Richard Yun shared a powerful message about God’s deliverance, leading to a heartfelt altar call. In the second part, the Hebrews celebrated their freedom, joyfully dancing to “Celebration” and closing with the uplifting finale “Joyful Noise.”

Praise the Lord! We are grateful for His faithfulness throughout every rehearsal and performance, and for the unwavering support of parents, Sister Petrina and the Pastoral Team.

All glory be to God!

Exodus 15:2
The Lord is my strength and my defence; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
